New AI-powered solution connects online visibility with sales automation as local research highlights growth ambition and the need for stronger lead follow-through
14th April 2026 – Thryv® (NASDAQ: THRY), an AI-enabled global marketing platform that helps small businesses (SMBs) get found online faster, win more customers and drive repeat business, has announced the launch of Thryv AI Lead Flow™, a new solution designed to help small businesses across Australia and New Zealand attract leads, prioritise opportunities and automate follow-up from first enquiry through to conversion.
Thryv AI Lead Flow brings together online visibility, intelligent lead management and automated sales follow-ups in one system.
How Thryv AI Lead Flow works
Stage 1: attract and capture leads by strengthening online visibility and helping businesses show up where customers are already searching
Stage 2: manage leads intelligently with AI-generated summaries, lead scoring and smarter follow-up triggers
Stage 3: connect marketing and sales through automated lead routing and seamless handover between Thryv and Keap®
Stage 4: convert faster with automated follow-ups and flexible workflow tools that keep momentum moving
Thryv’s 2025 Business Index and Consumer Report found that 59 per cent of Australian SMBs and 56 per cent of New Zealand SMBs are already using AI, including AI-enabled software, signalling a market that is increasingly open to practical tools that improve efficiency and growth.
Elise Balsillie, Head of Thryv Australia and New Zealand, said Thryv AI Lead Flow speaks directly to one of the most persistent frustrations facing small businesses on both sides of the Tasman, generating interest without losing momentum before it turns into revenue.
“Across Australia and New Zealand, many small businesses are doing the hard part of earning attention, however, they are still losing time and opportunity in the gap between enquiry and action,” Elise said.
“Too often, leads arrive through different channels, follow-up depends on whoever has a spare minute and strong prospects cool off before the business has had a real chance to respond. That is where a smarter, connected system can make an immediate commercial difference.”
Thryv’s Business Index and Consumer Survey also found 64 per cent of Australian SMBs and 72 per cent of New Zealand SMBs expect revenue to rise over the next six months. Better marketing was nominated as a likely growth driver by 39 per cent of Australian SMBs and 41 per cent of New Zealand SMBs.
The report also highlights a credibility challenge that makes better lead handling even more important. More than 72 per cent of Australian SMBs and 75 per cent of New Zealand SMBs believe they have a strong digital profile, yet only 49 per cent of Australian consumers and 52 per cent of New Zealand consumers agree. That gap points to a more demanding market, where being visible online is only part of the equation. Businesses also need to respond quickly, follow through consistently and create an experience that builds confidence from the outset.
“Eliminating lead leakage has become a much sharper growth priority,” Elise said.
“Small businesses need clearer visibility over which leads matter, faster follow-up and a more reliable path from interest to customer. That is where AI is proving its value, not as hype, but as a practical way to reduce drag and help businesses convert demand with more consistency.”
Built on the combined capabilities of Thryv Marketing Center and Keap software, Thryv AI Lead Flow is designed to help small businesses:
- Strengthen online visibility across more than 30 listing sites
- Capture and summarise leads from calls, forms and chats
- Identify high-intent prospects through AI lead scoring
- Automate follow-up based on customer actions
According to Elise, Thryv AI Lead Flow was created to address common lead management breakdowns, such as poor search visibility, weak prioritisation, slow follow-up and missed conversions.
“Business owners are being asked to do more with tighter time, tighter margins and higher customer expectations,” Elise said.
“When technology can help a business show up more strongly, understand its leads faster and keep follow-up moving without adding manual burden, it gives that business a better shot at growth that is both measurable and sustainable.”
